Page Four

Now for the Hoof, click on the Hoof ellipse, and move it to the bottom of the leg.

Click Node Edit, and click the top center node.  Drag this down, until the top of your ellipse is very nearly flat.  Then drag both ends of the arrow up, toward the leg.  When you're done, you should have what looks like a bean shape.

Now click the bottom center node, and move both ends of the arrow outward, like this:

Now click the node on the left, and move the arrow up, and slightly out, and then do the same on the right, you should have something like this:

Next click the node at the top center again, then right click and choose Node Type, Symmetric.  This will make the top of the node smooth out, and fit more nicely with the bottom of the leg. Ctrl + Q to quit node editing.

If you want to change the color of your hoof, you can do this now, the same way you changed the color of the horn.

Now we're going to give this little guy three more legs, with hooves attached.

Choose the Object Selector tool again, and click on the hoof you just made.  While holding down the shift key, click on the leg.  You'll see that now the box is around the hoof and the leg.

Choose Edit, Copy, and then Edit, Paste as New Vector Selection.  Move the leg where you want it, and then Paste as New Vector Selection again.  Right Click, and choose Arrange, Send to Bottom, and move this leg where you want it.  Paste as new vector selection again, and send to bottom.  Now you have two front legs, and two hind legs.  Move these around where you like them, and on the next page we'll finish up.
