Paper Lanterns Part Two Make the layer you named "Bottom" the active layer, and add a new layer. Name this layer "Front". Choose your Selection Tool, Selection Type: Rectangle, Feather: 0, Antialias UNchecked, and draw a Selection Like this one on this layer:
Flood Fill this Selection with the picture or pattern you chose, and deselect. Now it's time to use Jama 3D ! If you don't have it, just skip this part, and click here, then we'll all be on the same sheet of music again. Go to Image, Plugin Filters, Redfield, Jama 3D. Choose Jalousie from the menu, and apply with these settings: (I believe these are the default settings, but just in case...)
Spiffy, huh? Now that you have Jama 3D applied, you can skip to the next page, or if you like, try out the rest of this page to see what the difference in the Two Effects Are. Okay, so no Jama 3D? No problem. Go to Image, Deformations, Wave and apply with these settings: Horizontal displacement, Amplitude:10, Wavelength:15, Vertical Amplitude and Wavelength both set at One.
Now go to Image, Effects, Blinds, and apply with these settings: Width:10, Opacity: Up to You! I set mine at 15, but it probably could have been darker. Color: Black, Horizontal & Light from left/top Checked.
Both effects turn out pretty well, don't you think? On the next page, we'll finish up.
